Emma Richardson is an economist specialising in decarbonisation and energy. Having worked as an economist with Deloitte Access Economics and the Commonwealth Government, she is passionate about supporting business and Government to find opportunity through change. Emma joined the ACT public service in 2019 as Director of Climate Change Policy. With 10 years of experience in the Australian energy sector and public policy, she has provided strategic advice to government, business and the energy industry on decarbonization, energy transition and energy markets. She has also delivered advice to governments, universities and infrastructure operators on labour markets and the future of work. Her expertise includes public policy analysis, decarbonisation opportunity and risk assessment, cost benefit analysis, forecasting and strategy. Emma holds a Master of Applied Economics from Monash University, Melbourne and an economics bachelor degree from Victoria University.
