Grace Kim is the Director, National Income and Production at the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).
Grace has a mathematics degree with a major in Statistics (Honours) and mathematical optimisation from the University of Technology Sydney. She also undertook post-graduate studies at the Australian National University in economic policy.
Since joining the ABS in 2008, her career has focused on macroeconomic statistics. Grace started as an analyst of Economy Wide Business Surveys, key inputs into the quarterly national accounts, in the ABS Sydney office. Grace moved to Canberra in 2012 to pursue a career in macroeconomic measurement where she spent almost ten years building expertise in the National Accounts. A macroeconomic framework which measures key aggregates such as GDP, household saving, national income, net worth and the flow of funds. Grace now draws on her knowledge and experience to lead a team to produce a coherent and reliable picture of the Australian Economy and Environment.
