Alissar is a Public Sector Economist working in government alongside policy makers focusing on industry and digital policy.
Alissar provides relevant economic advice to policy areas to inform best-practice policy, focusing in digital economy policy. This involves having an understanding of the current economic environment, keeping up-to-date with global trends and understanding their impacts on the Australian economy. Alissar also contributes to the Department’s publications, including the Industry Monitor and the annual Industry Insights series.
Prior to her role at the Department, Alissar worked in Management Consulting with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Alissar worked with state and federal government departments on a number of economic policy evaluations and business process improvement, primarily within the health industry.
Alissar completed a double degree in Economics and Commerce at the Australian National University and has Prince 2 Project Management qualifications.
